Having recently spent time at Baren in the beautiful Guttannen valley, I can confidently say that this hotel offers a balanced mix of luxury and value. The single room I stayed in, while a tad small, was newly renovated and impeccably clean. Though located across the road from the main building, it provided a cozy retreat. The restaurant options were varied, from a casual bar to a more formal dining room, both offering delicious, copious meals. Breakfast included fresh croissants and a good selection, though I'd suggest adding kaiserbrotchen for variety.The warm welcome and personal attention from the staff added to the charm of this establishment, giving it a local vibe that I greatly appreciated. From the hotel, one can easily explore the stunning nature of the area or venture to popular tourist spots nearby. Baren is a great choice for travelers looking to experience the Swiss Alps without breaking the bank. I look forward to returning on my next adventure in Switzerland.
